Operational Manager Logistics & Customs ASEAN (m/f/d)
In this key position, you will be responsible for establishing and managing operational logistics and customs activities for service, repair, and goods movements across the ASEAN region and internationally.
You will develop Kuala Lumpur into a regional logistics and service hub, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable import/export and service logistics processes.

Your Responsibilities:
- End-to-end responsibility for coordinate and harmonize logistics and customs processes (import/export) for service returns, repairs, spare parts, and equipment across ASEAN markets
- Ownership of all customs-related topics, including repair & return, temporary import, re-export, free trade agreements, tariff codes, and documentation
- Buildup organization, and management of warehouse and logistics structures at the local site; Including potential team lead and external partner management
- Design and continuous optimization of after-sales and service logistics processes
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Service, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, IT) and external partners (consultants, customs authorities, thid-party logistics providers, freight forwarders)
- Ensure full compliance with local and international customs and trade regulations
- Provide management reporting, SLAs, KPIs and operational decision support
- Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements in logistics and customs operations
- Ensure audit readiness, mitigate customs, and trade compliance risks
- Support implementation and optimization of logistics and customs IT systems (e.g. ERP, customs tools)
Requirements:
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Several years of relevant experience in international logistics and/or customs operations, ideally in a service or after-sales environment in ASEAN or emerging markets is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade, including operational handling of repair & return scenarios
- Proven experience in building structures and processes by project management and hands-on implementation skills
- Strong operational mindset combined with strategic thinking
- Very good English skills, German is a plus
- High intercultural competence and willingness to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur
